The main character is Qin Zhan, a dedicated fan of the well-liked online game New Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, which is both a well-known and authentic Chinese video game. After entering the game he's been playing for ten years, Qin Zhan time travels there and emerges with amazing powers. The threats and plots that are thrown his way must be overcome, though, while he also establishes himself as the top adversary of the entire martial arts community.
